Grayscale Black Friday 2019
These hand painted and custom designed shoes were a collaboration project with the Philadelphia-based rock group, Grayscale. Each unit represents a single released off of Grayscale’s 2019 record, Nella Vita (Baby Blue, In Violet, Painkiller Weather, and Young).
The design.
Four different designs spanned across eight pairs of shoes. All designs started as digital mock-ups and, upon approval, were sketched and painted on each shoe with a self-formulated fabric paint. Each pair began as all-white canvas shoes.
The drop.
Eight pairs of shoes were released during the Grayscale Black Friday drop of 2019. All eight pairs sold out during the 30-minute presale, before the website went live to the general public.
